The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) is now accepting nominations for the inaugural cohort of The College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. The College will advance the RSC’s mission to recognize intellectual achievement in Canada by promoting and drawing together individuals whose achievements within 15 years of their terminal degree have been exceptional. Dr. Graham Bell, President of the Royal Society of Canada. “One of the key ingredients of a culture of knowledge is recognition of the emerging generation of Canada’s leadership. In celebrating their accomplishments and
promise, the Royal Society contributes to our capacity, as a country, to retain our intellectual capital.”

The inaugural cohort of outstanding Canadians will be nominated by the Institutional Membership of the Royal Society of Canada. Institutional Members include 50 Canadian universities as well as the National Research Council. Full details as well as protocols and procedures for the College are available on the RSC website. Deadline for nominations is 1 March 2014.
